AWARDED
to those who received an injury
from the herbicidal spraying of AGENT ORANGE in
Vietnam
Agent Orange was and is a weapon of war. Chapter 720 believes that Vietnam veterans killed or sickened by these dioxins deserve the Purple Heart Medal just as those who are injured or killed by other weapons of war.
The
Silver Rose is the only award offered to Vietnam veterans who are victims of
Agent Orange. It is a “healing” medal of great honor, courage and
remembrance. It is offered to all Vietnam veterans and families of deceased
veterans. The honor and remembrance given during the formal presentation
ceremony is extremely gratifying to the recipients and/or their families.
Chapter 720 along with the Order of the Silver Rose Foundation is one of the few
sponsors of this program. We will be offering this medal and award to area
veterans or families of deceased veterans. Call Ed Greenawalt- 1-814-834-7849 for further details and application or you may visit The Order
of the Silver Rose website at silverrose.org.
